I was very pleased to find "standard unit blocks* at a reasonable price. They are well made and the "units" align perfectly. I had one dissapointment when I started playing with them with my grandson. He already had a set of "standard unit blocks" but there weren't enough blocks to really build anything with, so I was hoping the two sets could be used together. Turns out the set he already had uses a slightly larger basic unit module and the math concept is lost when using the two sets together. I just put the old set away since the Melissa and Doug set has many more blocks. Apparently there is no "stanard" basic unit SIZE when the term "standard unit blocks" term is used, which I learned from this experience. Aside from this I am very pleased with the set and would recommend it.

These blocks are a huge hit for everyone in the family. We really enjoy building all the different big cities and bridges. My son is three and is very interested in the blocks and the concept of being able to build stuff for his cars to drive on, under, up, and around. I searched around and amazon had the best price on these. At first i thought sixty blocks was not enough but it is. It comes with a wooden box to fit the blocks in when they are not being built with. Really cool!

Well made with smooth corners and edges. I love that there is no paint to chip off. Feels like these will last for a long time. Both of my girls (5 and 2) love playing with them. The only downside is that they are heavy when all together in the box. I think with all the plastic toys around, we forget how much real wooden toys weigh. Well worth the price.

My son (now over 3.25 years old) has had these now for over a year. It was an excellent buy. The blocks still get a lot of use and are of very good quality. I highly recommend these. See photos I uploaded.

We got these blocks for our daughter's 3rd birthday and she loves them.
I have been very pleased with the quality. As a Kindergarten teacher, I was not sure if these blocks would be as well made as the ones in classroom sets, but they are.
Blocks are wonderful toys that encourage imagination instead of requiring batteries.
We hope to get the 2nd set as well. Great service and fast shipping as always from Amazon!
