Liven up your camping trips and family reunions with this full BlongoBall set. I was a little hesitant to buy this product due to some of the reviews about durability. However, we've had this product for a week and so far it's been a great addition to our sand box. The toys seem very durable and a lot comes with the set. Granted, my 3 yr old is using them in a sand box as opposed to the beach so he may not be using them as hard as others. My son also loves to take water from his water table and put it in the sand table which is perfect for using the train and airplane molds. The sifter is also really fun. We hide shells and such in the table and he loves using the shovel and sifters to search. So far we are very happy with this product...it did exceed my expectations. If anything breaks in the new future I'll report back.

First of all, my daughter loves these toys; we bought them for her sand box in our back yard. Unfortunately, the shovel broke in half (handle's plastic snapped at base of shovel) after less than 2 months of use. The handle just snapped off. (My daughter just turned two when this happened so I'm assuming she didn't do it!) The sifter has little notches on the side so you can set it on top of the bucket. My daughter loves to pour sand through the sifter and into the bucket to see what size pebbles stay on top. That is probably the most "educational" this toy gets (which is why I gave this 2 stars for the educational value--but this isn't an educational toy, so I don't think that's a bad thing). And my daughter LOVES the watering can. She uses it literally every day to water our hibiscus.

Pros: fun colors, lots of different toys in one set
Cons: shovel broke soon after purchase

This kit contained many brightly colored items- all the basic beach toys, plus a couple of fun molds (train and plane). We haven't taken the toys to the beach yet (but we have played with them in the bath). I was a little disappointed in the quality of the plastic- I was hoping the plastic would be a little thicker, and less brittle-feeling. The carrying-case is nice, but I realized a net-like bag would be better, so all the sand can shake off and the toys can dry out. I can imagine the plastic bag will get full of sand and dirty water after the first use. So, I'll probably find a different bag to carry them in. Overall though, I think the price is quite reasonable for what you get. This will get us started for beach play- and if I can buy more toys later if necessary.

"Mask not the same as War Machine." 2010-05-09

This is a well made figure, as are all of the Marvel Select line, but watch out. The War Machine figure's mask goes on and comes off, but this one does not. You either get the mask on, or the mask slid up to reveal the face. I got the mask up because I thought it slid down, but it doesn't. If that is a deal breaker, now you know.

I am a HUGE God of War fan, its my favorite game series of all time, so its fitting that this figure is my favorite in my collection! The detail is incredible, especially on his armor and the Medusa's head. The armor on his legs even have blood splatters across it, which really add to the brutality of the figure. And the head...holy $#@%! Not only can you see inside her mouth, but the details on the gore are almost sickening! Bloodied bone and tendons dangle, and i swear i've seen blood drip! Seriously it looks that real, blood is even running out of her nose! i won't look it in the eye, lest i be turned to stone! Overall, i am extremely pleased with this product, especially since amazon finally got a new shipment in, drastically lowering the price! Buy it now! You won't regret it!!

Well as an avid fan of anything God of War this purchase was a no brainer. I love the God of War games, and wanted to add a Kratos figure to my video game action figure collection. But in all honesty some of the prices that people are selling Kratos for is ridiculous. For example for this figure the price ranges from [...] for the exact same thing. I mean would someone actually pay 150 for something that can get for 17? Anyway thats off the point. I love this figure. Hes the tallest in my collection, and is close to as intimidating as the Big Daddy, but who would you most want to run into in a dark alley (Neither?). Very well detailed, and well made. His hands are removeable so one of them can hold the severed medusa head if you like. The pictures show only one sword, but it comes with both blades of chaos. Awesome addition to any collection. Fully recommend. PS: New game coming on PSP for God of War (Ghost of Sparta), cant wait!!

I can sum up this action figure in one word; awesome. But if I would leave this review just at that, I wouldn't be doing Kratos justice. The detail in the figure lives up to the epic battles Kratos has endured over the many years. And even though the blades of chaos are in "mini" form don't be fooled, they still seem ever-so-deadly. And Medusa's decapitated head, just goes to show you that you don't get in the way of even a toy replica of the God of War. I would highly recommend this collectible to ALL God of War fans!

"Very novel and pretty fun" 2010-05-08

I'll admit that I bought this for myself and not a kid, but it's a pretty nifty thing.

When you press the center of it, it lights up amber (think "yellow traffic light" color) and makes cool energy "power up" noises. I think there are three different noises.

The way it sticks to your shirt is that there's a plate that snaps off the back - you see it as a little red "ring" around the bottom in the product picture. You put the plate inside your shirt and the arc light snaps into it from the front of your shirt. It works really well with t-shirt weight material, but it might be tight with a sweatshirt, and you definitely wouldn't be able to get it on a sweater. There aren't any magnets the way I read on other web sites - it's just that snap-in plate.

I can see if you were wearing a looser shirt and jumping around then the momentum of it might work the light enough that it would pop off, but I've moved it around pretty hard to see how well it attaches and it's pretty well attached.

I have to give it novelty points because you can attach it to your own shirt and that mechanism works well. Usually with these things they're attached to some sort of one-size-fits-all thing that doesn't fit anyone - child or adult. With this, you can use it with any Halloween costume or whatever you want. Really cool.

I'd give it a full five stars if the light was white or whitish-blue the way it was in the movie, or if it was just a little bit thinner - it's about an inch deep and sticks out slightly more than I feel it should. Otherwise I dig it.

Even the promo shots (on other Iron man toys) shows it as white. Although I knew it was yellow because I tested it before purchase. But still :(

When my oldest son was 5 (14 years ago) I purchased a drum set for him from a music store. I paid about $100 back then and it fell apart within a week. I was very disappointed with the quality and sound of that kit. Now that I wanted to buy a set for my 4 year old, I was very careful in selecting a "real" drum set that he can enjoy for years and grow into. The GP50 is definitely it!
This is the real deal and not a toy. Sound is excellent and the build quality is great. At under $150, this set is a bargain. Some have mentioned it is time consuming to build, but I found it rather easy and had it together in no time.
My only complaint is the bass pedal squeak. It was so bad it, it was almost louder than the drums. I had to add a washer between where the bolt and the bracket meet and do a little tweaking by loosening and tightening the nuts until the squeak stopped. The pedal was already pre assembled, but I feel they should have added a bushing to prevent the squeak.
I am still very happy with this set (and so is my 4 year old). Perhaps the pedal problem was just with the one I received. It may or may not always be a problem, but it is easy to fix.
